Established in 1938 as a purveyor of fine alcohol, Cornerstone was the first establishment in Lavallette to receive a liquor license post-Prohibition (then under the name “Bernie’s Market Liquor Store”). Current management has been a part of Cornerstone since 1989.

Who We Are
Tim Darcy has been a part of the store since the ripe old age of fifteen, when he began working as a stock boy in the late eighties. Only seven years later he went on to meet the love of his life and his future partner, Chris Martin. Through many years of persistent hard work, Tim became the owner of Cornerstone Wine & Liquors in 2004, and the pair have overseen it through times of great triumph and struggle alike. 
Well over a decade later, they are proud to keep their doors open all year round for visitors and locals alike to enjoy their wares and their company. And if you stop by, you might even get a chance to see their famous liquor store pup, Toast.
